From Hollyoaks to the West End
November 29th, 2007 by Laura WestBonnie Langford’s niece Summer Strallen has only just begun her stint on Hollyoaks (a channel four soap which is a popular with teens and hungover students on a sunday morning), now she may be set to join the cast of The Sound of Music in London’s West End.
Summer is no stranger to the bright lights of the West End as she has recently appeared in the toe-tapping forties style comedy ‘The Drowsy Chaperone’ and starred in the popular ‘Cats’ and ‘Guys and Dolls’. We’ve heard on the grapevine that Summer may possibly be taking over from “How Do You Solve A problem Like Maria” winner Connie Fisher when she finishes her contact in February 2008.
If you want to know all the gossip about Summer’s jump from small screen to the stage - keep checking back here.
For those who can’t place a face to the name, here is a clip from Hollyoaks backstage.

Summer Strallen is a real find , she has the makings of a Hollywood film star , she is very beautiful and well spoken I want to see her in a major movie , I hope she stays in Hollyoaks as there is more exposure on TV then on the stage, I just wish her character could have more of a storyline
Summer is great and while it would be wonderful for her to be Maria in The Sound of Music , I think she should concentrate on television dramas as it is not easy to get anywhere in the theatre or to be known to aider audience
I only want the best for her, her career is all that matters.
