July 9th, 2007 by Laura West

The new Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat looks set to be a huge success! The show announced an extension to its run on Friday, before the doors had even opened for the first preview! Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat was originally planned to play a limited season until January 2008. However, the show has announced an extension and is now taking bookings until June 2008.

This latest announcement is a testament to the popularity of leading man, Lee Mead. Lee won over the British public with his many appearances on BBC show Any Dream Will Do and, since winning the show, has become a household name.

Previews for Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat began on Friday night. Initial reviews all indicate that Lee Mead delivers a fantastic performance and that the show is a biblical success!
